Alpha Spirit Puppy has one of the more interesting protein profiles in our puppy range.
Its declared animal ingredients comprise 35% fresh turkey, 20% fresh whole fish, 15% fresh pork, 10% fresh duck and 5% fresh chicken liver. The fish portion includes sardinella, mackerel, horse mackerel and sardine.
Rather than using rendered meat meal, Alpha Spirit uses fresh meat and fish which undergo partial hydrolysis as part of its Tenderize Technology manufacturing process. The manufacturer describes this as involving cold maceration, pre-digestion and dehydration without conventional high-temperature extrusion.
The finished food provides 31% protein and 16% fat, with calcium at 1.3% and phosphorus at 1.2%. It also naturally provides 2,000 mg/kg EPA+DHA Omega-3, 4,400 mg/kg glucosamine and 3,000 mg/kg taurine.
It's grain and gluten free and contains no meat meal.
